For just over half a million dollars, you too can own a 500kg transformable mecha suit, courtesy of Unitree. The company famous for making robot dogs affordable for the masses has apparently decided to cater to the supervillain-in-training market with its new GD01 manned robot. Billed as the world’s first production-ready manned mecha, this civilian vehicle is a slight departure from their usual product line. The company’s friendly request to “use the robot in a Friendly and Safe manner” seems optimistic, at best.
